Trajecta 3.1 gives the app a proper front door. Instead of opening straight into your full logbook, Trajecta now starts on a new Home page that shows your week at a glance and makes logging a new win a one-click job. Your profile, password and export settings have also moved onto a single Account page.
A new Home page
The best time to log a win is right after it happens, so Home puts the shortcuts first. You'll find it at the top of the sidebar, and it's where you land when you open Trajecta or sign in.
- New achievement and New idea sit beside the greeting and open the entry editor with the right type already chosen. Pressing N on Home starts a new achievement, just like in the Logbook.
- New users meet the onboarding wizard on Home, so the first thing they see is where their entries will show up.
Your week at a glance
The This week panel covers everything you've logged since Monday, by entry date, in three tiles:
Logged so far
Your total for the week, and whether you're Ahead of usual, Behind usual or On your usual pace.
Achievements and Ideas
How many of each you've logged this week, with the title of the latest one.
The pace compares this week so far with your average at the same point in the previous four weeks, so a Tuesday is measured against other Tuesdays rather than whole weeks. Hover over the tile to see how it's worked out. Click View entries to see everything you've logged this week, and open any entry from there.
Needs attention and Recent
Below the week, two cards help you pick up where you left off.
- Needs attention lists drafts waiting to be finished and ideas with no update in 30 days or more, the same list you'll find on Insights. Click any entry to open it, and use Show all to see every stalled idea at once.
- Recent shows the six entries you added or edited most recently, marked Added or Edited with when. View all in Logbook takes you to the full list.
Stalled ideas are a prompt, not a problem. If an idea has gone quiet, update its status: move it to Active, or close it as Succeeded, Failed or Abandoned. Our guide to idea statuses explains each one.
One place for your account
Profile and Settings used to be two separate pages. They're now one Account page, under Account › Settings in the sidebar, or Account in the menu under your avatar. It has tabs for:
- General: your display name and email.
- Security: change your password.
- Export: download your entries as Markdown, filtered by date range and type.
Smaller improvements
- Esc now closes the entry editor, and asks first if you have unsaved changes. If the date or status picker is open, Esc closes that first and leaves the entry open.
- Needs attention on Insights can now expand to show every stalled idea, instead of "+N more".
- Dialogs open and close more quickly and smoothly.
- Notifications have neatly aligned icons, text and close buttons.
Bug fixes
- Closing a new entry that had a description but no title yet discarded it without asking. It now asks about unsaved changes first.
Changes to note
- Trajecta now opens on Home instead of the Logbook. Your logbook is still one click away in the sidebar.
- Profile and Settings › General have moved to the Account page. Old links and bookmarks take you to the right tab.
Notes
Trajecta works best when logging a win takes seconds, and Home is built around that: open the app, see where your week stands, and capture what just happened.
If you have feedback or ideas for what's next, I'd love to hear from you on Trajecta's subreddit. Thanks for using Trajecta!
